I might over-exploit it over the next few days/weeks and do too many #OOTDs with it... lol!

Can't forget this smexy looking halter top too!
Haven't seen this around in other online stores, definitely a unique piece!
So grab it while it's still available! :)

They've just launched a new collection and are having a Tattoo Leggings giveaway!

Anyway, it's been some time since I wore normal shorts (meaning non-high waist) and I've fallen in love with them once again!!! :)
This super pretty cutting studded denim shorts is from Jipaban!

Recipe for Basic Vanilla Cake
10 tbsp(140 grams) butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups (200 grams) sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 190degC.
Line 12 muffin tins with paper liners.

Cream together butter and sugar until light, 2 minutes.
Add in eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated. Don't worry if the batter doesn't look smooth at this point. Add vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder until batter is uniform and no flour remains.

To test if your cake/cupcake is cooked, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean or only with a few crumbs clinging onto it, it's ready! :)

Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 1:
Bake a PINK/RED cake
(you can use the recipe above, just remember to mix red food colouring to it)
Use a cake mix + red food colouring
Buy a ready made pink cake

Step 2:
Cut out hearts using a heart shape cutter
(You can get a set of about 8 hearts of different sizes from Daiso at $2)
I used the smallest size cutter in the set because my cupcakes are going to be small

Step 3:
Line your cupcake tin with wrappers
Fill up the base with a layer of cake batter (basic vanilla cake recipe above).

You can prepare the basic vanilla cake recipe above, split the batter into 2 equal portions, add food colouring to make one portion pink and leave the other portion white.
I prefer this method because the cupcakes will taste consistent throughout :)

Step 4:
Place a heart shaped cake you prepared in Step 2 standing UPRIGHT into each of the cupcakes,
making sure that the heart shapes are all facing the SAME DIRECTION.
This will ensure that you can see the full heart shape with you cut the cupcake open :)
And you might want to make a note for yourself to remember which direction you placed the hearts in as well

Step 5:
Fill the remaining space of each of the cups with batter as you usually would,
making sure to hide the entire heart :)
I'm using a piping bag to pipe the batter into the cups because I think it helps me control the batter better.
Alternatively, you can choose to use a small spoon instead :)

Step 6:
Bake them in the oven at 180degC for 16 to 18 minutes or until fully cooked

Step 7:
Place them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
You may wish to add buttercream frosting, hundreds and thousands, sprinkles etc to further decorate it!
But I personally like this simple and I think it's pretty enough! :)

A cupcake with inner beauty (and outer beauty if you add frosting and all haha) :D
Gotta love the sweet surprise in the center!
What better way to show someone your love than this? ^~^

I know that Valentines' Day is still a month away, but hey,
EVERYDAY can be Valentines' Day as long as you spend it with the ones you love :D
Spread the love with this sweet little surprise treat!

Plus it's always good to practise baking these first (& tweak the recipe or oven temperature if you need to) before Valentines' Day draws near
so you can be sure to bake perfect-looking ones for Valentines'!

Feel free to tweet me, leave a comment via NuffnangX or Blogger to let me know if you're going to try this out or if you've tried it out and liked it! :D
It'd definitely make my day!! ^~^

Thank you for reading, love you all!
